Five servicemen from the small town of Moriah, New York were killed during the Viet Nam War: John Drake, US Army, in 1964; David Jarvis, US Navy, in 1968; Joseph Ribeiro, US Army, in 1968; Marcus Stoddard, US Marine Corps, in 1969 and Michael Baker, US Navy, in 1972.
